'Puygrenier' was purchased by its present owners in 2005 who have made substantial renovation to the property whilst retaining its original features and charm. The house is full of character and built of old stone with exposed beams throughout and offers a wonderful setting to relax and enjoy the very best of France and its most famous offering - its best vineyards.

'Puygrenier' is 2 km outside the Bastide village of   Villefranche de Lonchat. Just follow the D32 and signs towards Lussac and Puisseguin. Whether you are staying in our gites or bed and breakfast (chambres d'hotes), we will be ready to welcome you to ' la vie francaise'.

Our nearest towns are Montpon Menesterol, Castillon, Saint Emillion and Libourne with numerous villages inbetween to discover and savour their history.

'Puygrenier' also offers a 2 hour wine tasting course for novices so you may well find that hidden palette to explore this area's great wines.

'Puygrenier' is located in the South West of France in the Dordogne department bordering the Gironde. We are:

46km (28 miles) from Bergerac Airport
65km (40 miles) from Bordeaux Airport
25km (15 miles) from Libourne TGV station - Paris in 3 hours.
Calais is 8.5 hours by car. Nearest motorway A89 and leave at junction to Montpon Menesterol and follow signs to Villefranche de Lonchat.

Both nearby airports offer a huge range of flights from UK and other European airports including all the major low cost airlines such as Ryanair and Flybe from Bergerac.
Simply rent a car or or if you are staying with us for 4 nights or longer,ask us to collect you from the station or airport and enjoy use of our mountain bikes around the property, lanes or quiet country roads to visit local attractions, markets and wine tasting houses or stay a while to sample our own wine selection from our cellar or swim or possibly fish* in our lake or stream.
